I was born in Switzerland and received my professional education at the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology in Zurich (ETH). Beside the professional career I have been a nature and travel photographer since the early 1970s. An important focus is the experience on location and the creative process to design an image. The images are mainly used for slide shows. Different agencies offer images from my work and my photos were also used in different publications. I’m a member of the Swiss Nature Photographers (NFS) and since 2012 a full member of the Society of German Nature Photographers (GDT).
My wife Ruth and I have a special liking for travelling to Northern Europe with our own camper. Before my retirement many photo trips brought me to the Arctic and to Antarctica, North- and South America as well as to Africa.
